Heating OIl

Last winter was a real shock to me, when heating my home with oil, supplemented with a couple of wood stoves became a primary budget issue.

On average, I use 1100 gallons of fuel oil each heating season for my 1100 square foot house. My oil company sent me an offer to make interest free budget payments for 11 months, beginning this month (August) based on a projected price of $5.00/gal.

My home is old (1870) and I spent over $25,000 last year replacing the siding and roof. I won't be able to afford new windows for a while, but everything's been caulked and I'm having combination storm doors installed in the next few weeks (3 of them) and additional insulation in the attic.

Now, I have to add $535.00 per month to my already stretched household budget.

When will the oil companies be stopped?!

Oil profits are at an all time high even though oil purchases are down (I'm not the only one trying to conserve). It's time to allow the free market to work! Deregulate the oil industry...NOW!
